Free-agent pitcher Matt Shoemaker has agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the Toronto Blue Jays, the team announced Friday.

Shoemaker went 2-2 with a 4.94 ERA in seven starts with the Los Angeles Angels last season

Catcher Jonathan Lucroy has agreed to a one-year, $3.35 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels, according to multiple reports. News of the agreement was first reported by Yahoo Sports.

Lucroy, 32, hit .241 with four homers and 51 RBIs in 126 games for the Oakland Athletics last season after signing a one-year, $6.5 million contract in March.

Both Bryce Harper and Manny Machado have received interest from the Phillies, but word is neither player particularly likes Philadelphia. Furthermore, Harper and Machado both would have preferred to sign with the New York Yankees.

The Yankees have shown little interest in signing Harper.

Nelson Cruz has agreed to sign a one-year, $14.3 million deal with the Minnesota Twins.

The deal also features a $12 million team option for 2020, according to the source. 

Cruz made $14.725 million in the final year of his four-year, $64 million contract that he signed in 2015.

In 14 major league seasons, Cruz, a former outfielder, has 360 home runs, 1,011 RBIs, 838 runs and a .274 batting average.
